Ohhh the constraints of society can be quite wicked, we once thought we had rid ourselves of something that is now back with a vengeance. I was doing a little research on the present topic although I had some background information on them I wasn't sure as to why they were phased out, well it seems as though the corset which goes back a little further in our time, if I am to understand it correctly was linked with organ damage and infertility. Thus causing our Victorian ladies to discard them in the early 1900's in favor of a more modern object called a girdle which is more closely related to the "South American Faja", the objects currently used to produce weight loss and a more ideal shape where of common place in our society's past.
