The Life Of Pablo Cinco: No Smoke

When I'm looking for talent I try to choose the absolute best artists, or people in that field there is, Pablo Cinco is honestly in a different league than most unsigned artists I have come across in this business. Having the odds stacked against him when he was just 18 years old, Pablo was a victim of gun violence which caused him to be unable to finish 12th grade. Before that Pablo describes life growing up in Greensboro, NC as boring prompting his interest in rap beginning at 16, this helped him stay low and simply get to the money. In terms of lyrical style his flow is fire, I would say it's comparable to Big Sean with a southern twist over trap beats which in my opinion is a lot better. The young lyricist says it's easy for him to get into the creative zone when he hits the studio, by first listening to beats that help him build up his flow, after that he comes up with a hook that fits seamlessly with his flow. Most of the time when he raps, he just gets in the

Reek I'van Gives UrbanInsider A Vibe

In this industry vibes for me are how I create a written concept for the readers to accompany visuals for interactions I have with people in the industry. I had almost given up on Reek I told him, I've actually been following his career for awhile back when he was flowing over previously released industry tracks. So last night I'm trying to get my body adjusted to going to bed at a different time for my work schedule, and I get this call from PA, so I'm looking at my phone like who is this calling me this late, I almost didn't answer because I was trying to sleep. I answer the call and it's Reek, so I get up after us going back and forth due to schedule conflicts, head to the computer and I'm taking down everything he say's as quickly as I can. Before I even get into that I have to let you know he is the coolest person, for that reason alone is the reason you need to go online and purchase his new EP. In this world we have hidden gems which we call &

Video Premiere:Chuck Adams - "Take Me As I Am"

I have watched this guys career diversify since his time at "Roc Nation", from strictly r&b music, transitioning into more of an indie lane of his own, while incorporating country based tracks like this one into his sound. As artist his voice is amazing, even with his raw vocal recordings and its not too many guys in the game doing that right now. I'm happy to be hearing new music from him and even more happy to be back posting his music on my site.

It's A Smallz World After All Urban Insider Talks Hollywood With "Director Smallz"

When selecting the people with whom I work with, I try to find the absolute best there is because it's a huge representation of my brand. We are heading to my second home New Orleans by way of Los Angeles to speak with Travis Donald who goes by the name of ''Director Smallz". I have a huge admiration for the young people in Hollywood making money moves, fresh out of ''Grambling State University", one of my HBCU rivals, with his very own film company Travis has already produced two films to his credits. Without wasting anymore time let's see what Travis has to say below..... Give the readers a brief introduction, such as name, age, and where you are from..... Hello guys, my name is Travis Donald, I hail from New Orleans, Louisiana where I have 4 brothers and 3 sisters. I come from a single parent household where my mother Shilent Donald often went without just so we could have. Going back to my siblings I must sa

LYING TO THE RACES: UrbanInsider Takes You There!!!!!!!

With us being now winding down the year of 2017, I would think the age old conversation about race would be null and void, but for some people it's just as casual as asking someone their favorite color. Being from the south you would think that might be a topic in the forefront of my mind, but it's not I simply don't care enough about the race someone is unless I since some type of ambiguity surrounding them. Our race is human I don't even think it should be something still allowed on job applications because it doesn't define the content of your character in my eyes at least, I don't even look at race in terms of dating because beauty is what intrigues me. Race is simply another way of creating division in a country that is titled "United States", we as people should be looking for and discussing things that embody a sense of unity not division. I will take it a step further in letting you know that the topic of race is actually socially constru

Going Back To Cali With "The BSU" Star Kahlil Simplis

Great things take time, and this process took me awhile, yet the quality I got from waiting was well worth it. This journey takes me out to Los Angeles where almost everyone you come across is someone to know, today I'm speaking with a multi-talented young actor/musician by the name of Kahlil Simplis who can currently be seen on "Insecure" creator Issa Rae's newest project "The BSU".... Let's start with an introduction, such as your name, age, and where you are from..... My full name is Kahlil Simplis, I’m 21, and I hail from the great city of Los Angeles.. What caught my attention was the project you have with Issa Rae, I love her show "Insecure", tell us about the project, and where can we view it.... The project “The BSU”, that I am in, is a show about young college students, African American students in paritcular. The show focuses on a group of young black students (a hilarious cast by the way) at UCLA who

UrbanInsider Talks With Real Rapper of ATL Q.DUNN

What I like about Atlanta is that it really is the new south, you can't define the city solely based on the region it's located in. You can take that a step further even looking at the different zones located within the metropolitan area, which helps shape the culture as well would have a significant influence on the artists located there. Today we meet Q.Dunn a 25 year old Atlanta native, with a sound that puts you in the mind of Bun B , half of the southern rap duo UGK. You can hear the influence specifically when you listen to his song "Proper Etiquette", a sound from Houston that is miles away from the "Allentemple Houses",  that Dunn originated from located near"Cascade"skating rink. In this southwest Atlanta neighborhood where Dunn spent some of his formative years, he recalls a heartwarming experience where he played with lots of other kids, his family was well-known, and where his grandmother still owns her home. As with most y

Im always on a quest to find new music, and I admit when I first heard this song I didn't like it because I thought it was a rip off of Chance The Rapper ''No Problem". However over the weekend I had it on repeat and even started singing it myself, and have fallen in love with it so it's only right I share it with you guys!!!!

Urban Insider Learns Why Singer/Songwriter Steph Porter is So Dope

To build this brand I'm always collaborating with established as well as new talent, seeing as though my home state of Mississippi is filled with deserving talent I didn't have to go far. I took one listen to his single "It's All Good", and I am definitely a believer, his voice puts you in the mind of New Orleans singer Lloyd. The song has a strong crossover appeal because of the pop-like breakdown in the chorus, so whoever is the brains on his production team is guiding this dynamic song , and Steph's career in the right direction. Steph sent over his bio along with the questions from our interview, take a gander below and be on the look out for his song "It's All Good", available on platforms all over this month!!!! "With dozens of thousands of young music hopefuls on the scene, arrives the fresh take on urban artistry that is Steph Porter. The 21-year-old up-and-coming Rhythm Pop artist is making his music debut with a Man

Urban Insider Chats With Phenomenal Author of "Days Later" Walter Neil

It's always interesting when I get to come across a person who has a way with words, it cuts out a lot of the labor for me, and it's very refreshing to see how other people think in terms of verbiage. Walter Neil goes above and beyond in doing so for this interview, he not only got everything back to me immediately, but he also answered everything with enough material to keep the readers intrigued as if we were reading one of his amazing books. Being in contact with people like Neil makes it possible for me to keep telling our stories from a multi-talented, multi-functional, multi-creative standpoint. So I will keep my commentary to a minimum so it doesn't distract from the art that was created here......... Let's start with an intr oduction for the readers, lik e name, age, and wher e you are fro m...... W alter Neil is an author , creator and overall trendsetter . Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he is the oldest of his
