With us being now winding down the year of 2017, I would think the age old conversation about race would be null and void, but for some people it's just as casual as asking someone their favorite color. Being from the south you would think that might be a topic in the forefront of my mind, but it's not I simply don't care enough about the race someone is unless I since some type of ambiguity surrounding them. Our race is human I don't even think it should be something still allowed on job applications because it doesn't define the content of your character in my eyes at least, I don't even look at race in terms of dating because beauty is what intrigues me. Race is simply another way of creating division in a country that is titled "United States", we as people should be looking for and discussing things that embody a sense of unity not division. I will take it a step further in letting you know that the topic of race is actually socially constructed to create division, when you divide things chaos ensues because there is no incentive in place to keep cohesiveness. For me your race in the general sense does not elevate you into this superior human being, if we want to use things to divide us properly why not use things that can measured by ability which can still be viewed as a discriminatory practice, but does not necessarily label a person before you even get to know what they are actually about. When I look at you, when I look at anyone the race you are is not the first thing that pops into my mind, I see everyone as a person before I see anything, and I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated, unless you show me otherwise then I adjust to what is being displayed to me. I'm not going to write along wordy narrative in a magazine used for entertainment purposes, but I needed to say this, stop talking about race at least to me, or in a divisive sort of way in order to define or label people based on bigotry ideals. Let's start functioning under the title of our country ''United States" should mean united races, because globally we are all human apart of the human race which should function as one entity, and our goals should be to look for things to empower each other instead of dividing people based on something as silly as race. Lastly some people don't realize this, but race does not determine your ethnicity which is an entirely separate conversation if you will look on the example I'm providing you below of the job application debacle, the term race is used incorrectly the term should be ethnicity, but will that honestly determine if a person will do a job better based on their ethnic origin, I think not.
