I have watched this guys career diversify since his time at "Roc Nation", from strictly r&b music, transitioning into more of an indie lane of his own, while incorporating country based tracks like this one into his sound. As artist his voice is amazing, even with his raw vocal recordings and its not too many guys in the game doing that right now. With us being now winding down the year of 2017, I would think the age old conversation about race would be null and void, but for some people it's just as casual as asking someone their favorite color. Being from the south you would think that might be a topic in the forefront of my mind, but it's not I simply don't care enough about the race someone is unless I since some type of ambiguity surrounding them.
