The masses might remember Jarvis as the young guy with long hair, riding his bike while singing the feel good summer-tune titled "radio", it was so catchy, you couldn't turn your tv on without seeing his video in constant rotation. The Tulsa, OK native started singing at the young age of 4 in his church choir stemming from his deep religious roots, and strict bible-belt upbringing. This also limited the type of music he was exposed to, and gradually he began becoming influenced by such artists as James Brown and Usher. At the age of 13 life as he knew it transformed, relocating to Atlanta and being signed to Jermaine Dupri's SoSo Def Records which swept him into a world of stardom beyond his wildest dreams.
