Summer might be coming to a close but G.O.O.D. MUSIC just turned up the heat. Although Mos Def and Q-TIP are absent from the compilation, this album is a straight up banger he pulled out some VETS like Ghostface Killah on NEW GOD FLOW which is pure fire. You got Common and Raekwon on The Morning, and MASE spit some sick bars on Higher, everybody is really eating R.Kelly and Kanye open the album with To The World it's just too much talent on one album for me. I haven't even started in on the lyrical content yet Pusha T opens new GOD FLOW with the lyrics "I believe there’s a god above me I’m just the god of everything else", which is saying that he believes in GOD but he is the best after him, Ghostface just goes in after he let these rappers know he had his Jesus Piece in 94.
The production and beats on here are just ILL you get that hard east coast feel from back in the day that we been missing for awhile now, this ain't no bubble gum rap believe that. There is production from Tapez & Boogz, The Morning is track number five off of the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album Cruel Summer. Featuring recent G.O.O.D. Music signee D'Banj (a Nigerian artist), it is his first collaboration with the G.O.O.D. Music team. The song casually dismisses Illuminati rumors and the concept of “selling one’s soul” This song samples Kanye’s vocals from “New God Flow” and was produced by Kanye West, !llmind, Jeff Bhasker and Travis Scott. To sum it up the whole album is nothing short of GENIUS, which sets the bar in the rap game alot higher for these other rappers. It just made wanna be in the 80's early 90's Brooklyn rocking a chain with a Benz Medallion around my neck, in a Addidas warm up suit with a fur kangol posted on the block for no reason.
