Born Leon Bernard Buie IV on June 5, 1990 in Philadelphia, PA. He has come a long way to Atlanta, Georgia where he based his company. After arriving in mid July 2008, Mr. Buie tried numerous attempts to gain employment, after exhausting all his options he then remembered his childhood dream of owing his own companies. After gathering information and the little savings he had in his personal account this allowed him to start L&L Entrepreneuraties which allowed him to make his first order of Bernard Buie t-shirts.
Against all assumptions Mr.Buie did not attend college as a fashion design major he attended A.I.U in Atlanta where he pursued his business degree. While there he attended numerous fashion shows, one of his most memorable, the annual Betsey Johnson show in support of melanoma cancer. There he used his business savvy to pose and perform as a model on the runway.
In addition, he featured some of his designs in AIU’s first fashion remix show of 2008. Also, being a model in this fashion show his designs were one of the highlights. This attracted celebrates such as Young Joc and the primary DJ for Atlanta’s V103 Ramona DeBreaux .
Mr. Buie has a passion for modeling because he believes it is a form of your individual expression. He believes everyone is unique and has different personalities and clothes are a reflection of the inner self. Growing up as a child his inspirational designers were Ralph Lauren and True Religion.
Aside from Mr. Buie’s daily involvement in fashion during his spear time he plays basketball, workout, and volunteers at the local thrift store (Christian Church Buckhead); he’s is a National Red Cross member. Mr. Buie is a huge fan of poetry where one of his most known poem “I Am A Go Getta ” was published in 2008.His inspirational novel is Who Really Runs America by Robert A Listen and one of his favorite recitations “If “by Rudyary Kipling.
Furthermore, Bernard Buie is currently located in Philadelphia, PA and Atlanta, GA. With Mr. Buie’s hard work and dedication his future fashion plans are to have his clothing line in major department stores such as Macys, Nordstrom’s, and Bloomingdales adding to even having a chain of stores of his own. Within in time he plans to expand the clothing line for both men and woman’s business and formal attire.
