Rocawear Signs Sponsorship With New York Yankees

Can Jay-Z get any richer? Apparently yes he can not only does he own the New Jersey Nets, is the head of Def Jam, Owns Roc Nation, add to that Empire State of Mind is now the official song of the Yankees.Jay-Z’s latest business venture has him joining forces with his hometown baseball team. According to GlobalGrind, Jay’s Rocawear clothing line has inked a sponsorship deal with the New York Yankees for the 2012 season. The deal will provide Rocawear with branded signage inside of Yankee Stadium, as well as integrated promotions during the season. Jameel Spencer, EVP of marketing for Rocawear men’s division, says Jay’s passion for the Yankees makes the deal a “natural partnership.” Spencer adds that they’re very excited to be working the the team, and “feel another championship” coming on in 2012.Jay-Z has made no secret about his love for the New York Yankees. In his hit single “Empire State of Mind” he raps that he “made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can.” He and Eminem also performed a star-studded concert at Yankee Stadium back in 2010. I would say New York is definitely the concrete jungle where dreams are made of!!!
