Urban Archives September Issue: Legends Of Fall Fashion With Don Benjamin

Ten years ago one of the world's most recognizable supermodels branched out to show that she was more than just a pretty face. Tyra Banks created the first interactive competition reality series that brought the world of high fashion runway models into the living-rooms of the American viewing audience. The show now in its 20th cycle has decided to show us the less-publicized world of male modeling which is where you can catch Don Benjamin. The Chicago born Minneapolis raised super-model in training has been living in Los Angeles the last seven years, taking on small gigs in catalog shoots to help pay the bills before catching his big break on America's Next Top Model. With this being such a groundbreaking moment on the show Benjamin describes it as being a blessing in itself and kind of a surreal moment in his life.

Being in the house are the guys just as catty as women when it comes challenges, trying to steal the thunder etc.......

Well we filmed from February until the first week in April and guys egos definitely come into play as far as competition because you feel a need to prove yourself...

What is it like working with the amazing Tyra Banks, I mean what is she like.....

Tyra is amazing, she is beautiful, very lively, we didnt get to work with her that much but when she did show up it was just like a mesmerizing moment. We worked with Johnny Wujek former model and personal stylist to stars like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj.  Wujek  replaces Jay Manuel on the show as the person who puts together the shoots and gives different tips.

Have you learned how to smize yet......lol

I watched alot of Tyra tips that she posted on instagram so I was already ahead of the game before the show started.

What do you think has been the most helpful tool in the enhancement of your career besides being on television that you have taken away from this experience.....

You could say learning the ins and outs of shoots, coming out of your comfort zone, and just being able to handle whatever is thrown at you.

Tell us what your personal style is like, what designers are you favorites....

I'm just a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy, in addition to alot of Topman and H&M, I'm getting more into high-end designers but I feel the less is more approach my looks speak for me

As a person aside from being a model who is Don the person....

People would assume Im this serious person but I'm actually not Im very goofy, outgoing, and high-spirited a kid in a models body that loves to joke around make people laugh.

I know as a rule of thumb models dont discuss their age but how old are you......

I just turned 26 in May and make sure you checkout my music

Models often showcase the best of what the average person aspires to look like, from the clothes, the height, and even their hair. We chatted with Mr. Alex Dominguez for the proper insight, and here are our results....... Tell us a little about yourself such as where you are from, age, and for those who aren't familiar what agency you are currently signed with..... I graduated from Frostburg State university with a degree in Criminal Justice. I come from a good traditional Filipino family, and I am presently represented by RED model management NY. What was it and when was it that make you first take an interest in becoming a male model..... I really had no intentions of

Spotlight On:The New It Girl Jessica Burciaga

She has it all from the girl next door appeal, to extreme sex appeal. I first took notice of her when I saw the Jamie Foxx ft Drake "Fall For Your Type" video and to be honest I had to take a sceond glance because I really thought that she was JLO. It wasnt until recently when I actually found out who this stunning beauty is who looks like she could be Jennifer Lopez's little sister. Jessica Burciaga (born April 11, 1983) is an American model . Her father is Mexican and her mother is French and Irish . She was selected to be Playboy's February 2009 Playmate of the Month .   I think we are just starting to see the beginning of the beautiful Jessica, and that she has alot more in store......
