VH1's Single Ladies Premiere Episode Review

Where do I start, well first I want to say it's not a negative review. I feel the move in the new direction with Denise Vasi AKA Raquel Lancaster , but I see alot of Stacy Dash in her and if the true Stacy Dash fans and Single Ladies viewers from Season 1 are being honest with themselves they see it too. Raquel is Val it's clear the producers were not going to win the viewers over by using another girl in the place of Val, however I feel like they are grooming her to fill Val's shoes right out the gate until she completely wins the audience over for Season 2.

The way she talks, to the style of clothes she wears, to her petite tight frame has Stacy Dash all over it, and I'm not knocking Denise Vasi by any means I'm just drawing a comparison with her television character on the show. I already see that with her quitting her job in the first episode that the next logical move is for her to buy Val's boutique, why you ask....first it keeps the central location that the viewers are use to, second they can't loose the rest of the cast too I mean were we really that interested in seeing Keisha(LisaRaye) sell houses.......NO!!!!!

The ensemble cast is going to revolve around the life of Raquel as it did with Val, and her storyline will either carry the show for the long run or it could take a nose dive. I like her character though so I'm looking forward to seeing how the season plays out....
