Is Oscar Winner Sandra Bullock Quitting Acting?

Seeing as though I love her movies all the back to Love Potion N.9, A thing called love etc hopefully not!!! Bullock has revealed she considered quitting her acting career

Sandra Bullock has revealed she was so devastated by her marriage split that she thought she would never act again.

The Oscar-winning star said she was left 'permanently broken' after discovering her husband Jesse James had been cheating on her.

The 47-year-old star found out her husband had an affair with tattoo model Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee just days after she picked up the Best Actress Oscar in 2010 for The Blind Side.

In her award speech she paid tribute to her husband - unaware he had been seeing McGee while she was away on location making the film.

Bullock said revealed the depth of her pain while promoting her first film since the scandal.

'I was perfectly content to be permanently broken,' Bullock said of the 2010 marriage split.

'I honestly didn't think I was in a place where I wanted to work or wanted to step out of where I was. I wasn't prepared.'

Bullock said she was persuaded to return to acting by director Stephen Daldry who wanted her to appear opposite Tom Hanks in the drama Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

Hanks plays a victim of the September 11th terror attack on the Twin Towers in New York with Bullock his grief stricken wife.
