One of my favorite singers since childhood, I remember my mom suprised me in 6th grade with tickets to her concert with Boy II Men for my b-day. I adore her and Norwood revealed her intentions to begin working heavily on her sixth studio album. The project, which is currently intended for promotion and release in the 3rd Quarter of 2011, is slated to embrace Norwood's R&B roots as well as a confidence, that Norwood has counted as having been enlightened by the renewed success of friend and peer Monica and her recent television projects. According to Norwood, the album will see a return to her authentic R&B sound, but with a "progressive" edge. Hip-Hop producer Bangladesh has been commissioned to helm the bulk of the album, while Norwood has expressed her intent to connect with a variety of musicians, including superproducer Danja,
production duo Kadis & Sean, newcomer Kevin McCall,D.C. native Rich Harrison and songwriters Ester Dean and Stacey Barthee. In addition, it was announced that Norwood is planning to record of a joint album with brother Ray J, tentatively titled R&B.
