E.Smitty Talks Chile, Hip-Hop,&Universal Music Group

Background:

E. Smitty was Born 9-11-1981 in Santiago, Chile. Was Born "Errol Raul Herrera Canales", Never knew my biological parents, it is said that they may have been killed during civil unrest after Salvador Allende' and his regime were murdered and the country was overthrown by Augusto Pinochet. I have a twin sister, we were both adopted by an american family in 1984-85. My name was then changed to Eric Christian Finnerud. In My country i'm known as Errol Raul, in USA im known was Eric or E. Smitty.

Due to high academic achievement, and large athletic success, I was able to attend 2 great prep schools, Kent School 1997-1999 and St. Thomas More in CT 1999-2000.
Graduated from St. Thomas More High School in 2000, Led school to 1st ever New England Championship Game which we lost (Football) Lettered in Varsity football all 4 years of highschool
Attended ECU from 2000-2002, was a walk on for the football program.
Attended Abbey Road Mastering Class Engineering School from 2004-2006
Finnished audio engineering certification in 2006
Earned first placement with a talent agency (Talent Unlimitted) in 2006 which has now gone under
worked in Chicago Metro area as a freelance engineer/mc/producer from 2007-2009 was also on tour cross country
Performed at venues, like blue cafe, cats cradle, long beach in Cali, Crash Mansion, Southpaw Bar and various other spots in NY, Detroit, Chicago, and Miami
Produced and emceed on records with Kool G. Rap, Sadat X, Agallah, Nature, Armageddon, Nappy Roots, A-Alikes, and many more
Late 2009 was discovered by 12 time platinum Producer Keith Clizark from the west coast.

Signed a distribution deal for 3 major albums with Keith's Label TeamMashn/Ingroove/Universal thus where i became affiliated with universal music group
Presently still releasing records with TeamMashn/INgrooves/Universal, working on audio/drum/synth plugins Endorsement with Keith Clizark and Big Fish Audio
2 New Albums to drop this Year "Last Call" and "Medicine Man"
Past experience/employment has prepared me to be my own "Boss" and put out my own records through my Universal Pipeline. Juggling engineering, mc's and producing is madness, so I try to schedule everything seperately and take one task on at a time until everything is completed. Being an engineer, you have to know about wavforms, frequencies and audio dynamics. Being an engineer/MC/Producer is great though because I combine my ear for music, with my skill for rhymin over rhythms and beats that'll break your neck. As an engineer i can critique my own music which i never seem to be satisfied with, because im a perfectionist. I also get to mix/master my own records, and occasionally ill send it to my man Kingpenn Beatz LTD, to get an outside ear and opinion.

My motivation includes my children, my wife, and the desire to try to challenge people to think outside the box. I'm a huge humanitarian and a fan of anyone who really speaks the truth. I don't agree with the present climate of the industry, so i maintain a background/underground role and try to cut records only with the golden age of hiphop legends and anyone who is dope and speaks the truth. Other motivations include bringing back real hiphop music with substance and knowledge, Teaching and mentoring the youth about the curruption and mass deception presently being staged around the world and exposing all injustice/warcrimes/criminals and crimes against humanity. Exposing the truth even if it means going against the grain or upsetting a few people. Your always going to have haters when you speak truth, especially to those who might not agree with it.

I'm musically influenced by my partner Keith Clizark, all real hip-hoppers and all the great underground and golden era hiphoppers, Cats like Big Daddy Kane, DJ Premier, Kool G Rap, KRS-One, Cormega, Mobb Deep, M.O.P, Boot Camp, Sadat X, Big Pun, Big L, AZ, Nas, armageddon, Immortal Technique just to name a few. I'm also heavilly influenced by Producers like the late J-Dilla, DJ Premier, Alchemist, Jus Blaze, and Kanye West.

Have not worked with anyone like Nikki Minaj, Kelly Rowland or Ray-J yet, however i probably wouldn't work with them on a record because they represent the inverse operation of what i rep and stand for, Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice. Personally I don't care for any of thier music, it is distastefull and very negative and misleading to the youth. I dont watch tv or listen to the radio anymore, only source of music/tv is what i choose to watch through the internet.

My deffinition of real hip-hop music is music that is revolutionary, music that is complex, loaded with talent, lyrical content, a strong global message, basically any hiphop that is comparable to the golden age and speaks truth. Real hiphop music is music that makes you think, not just feel the music, music that brings you enlightenment, knowledge and truth, music that teaches and shows you how to grow and how to see and feel in this highly brainwashed society. Real hiphop music conditions you to be free in your mind body and spirit and shows you how to lead humanity to freedom.

What is not real hiphop music, is music without any substance or real message, music that talks only about materialism, sex, violence and drug dealing. In some cases when you might be teaching the youth a lesson on how to live your life it may be necessary to mention those 4 evils, possible even go into personal experience to get the listener to think and understand on a higher level on productive and non productive ways to lead your life.

Drake and Nicki minaj are both NOT real hiphop in my book, however both are marketed as such because the industry is changing and the true essence boom bap hardcore real hiphop sound is making a huge comeback. Only problem is artists like the two i just mentioned, don't talk about anything, don't have any real positive messages and more than anything have devilish, satanic and negative forces conjured into thier music. I call it pure garbage.

Close friends would describe me as Strong, Raw, Blunt, Speak my mind, Speak the truth, not scared to take a stand or stand up in the face of the devil. They would describe me as loving, caring, generous, protective, intelligent, honorable, respectfull and Alpha Male.
My strengths are physical, I can deadlift/squat 500lbs and i can benchpress 400lbs, my ability to Produce/Engineer and Emcee, bringing people closer together, unifying and uniting all truthers. Strengths also include, my performance/stage pressence at my shows, i have over 2000 beats in the stash, produced over 25 albums to date, ability to reach out and inspire others to carry the real hiphop torch.

Things I can't live without are Real Hiphop, my close friends and family, all my pittbulls and exotic herbals.

As far as clothing goes, I haven't changed up my style much since the golden age. Still rocking tim's, nice jeans like guess and akadmik, polo, mecca champion, stuff like that. For business a nice tailored suit, and i can always go with the khakis and polo look for casual/classy look. Got lots of name brand clothing, however i dont really pay much attention to what brands i buy or what im wearing, I just like to be comfortable and still look G at the same time.

Love to hang out at casinos, upscale bars, sports bars and lounges, not really into the clubbing scene anymore unless im doing a show. You can catch me in Vegas at Ceasars palace or maybe up in the D (detroit) at the MGM Grand. Don't really have a set hangout spot, I like to keep it moving so im always a step ahead of the game ya heard!

Lastly, I want to thank you for giving me this oportunity to interview and i want to wish your company the best of success in 2011 and beyond!!!

Urban Insider talks Model Behavior with Mr. Alex Dominguez of RED Models NYC

With it now being officially spring and actually feeling like it, I thought what better way to celebrate than bringing in a little model behavior. Models often showcase the best of what the average person aspires to look like, from the clothes, the height, and even their hair. We chatted with Mr. Alex Dominguez for the proper insight, and here are our results....... Tell us a little about yourself such as where you are from, age, and for those who aren't familiar what agency you are currently signed with..... I was born Alexander P Dominguez in Washington DC on December 4th, and have resided in Prince George's county Maryland for most of my life. I graduated from Frostburg State university with a degree in Criminal Justice. I come from a good traditional Filipino family, and I am presently represented by RED model management NY. What was it and when was it that make you first take an interest in becoming a male model..... I really had no intentions of

Rico Hundo Gives UrbanInsider a Taste of "Trinkin Trinkin"

Not all of our interviews and features are very long and drawn out, sometimes we just wanna hit our mark with the subject we are talking about. Today we are talking about Rico Hundo, and officially welcoming him into the UrbanInsider family, which had all to do with the fact that he has the complete package, if you ever get a chance to watch his "Instastory" please do "lil whores", he was literally born for this and I can see his light, I would say he shines from within, so you wanna see his posts, you wanna hear him talk, you wanna know what he's doing next because you can tell it's organically who he is. We caught up with this rising star to continue the promo of his incredible ''Latin fused" new track "Trinkin Trinkin" oh and he helped us get the words right lol.........Oh we almost forgot to mention he knows another favorite "Dominicana" of ours CARDI!!!!!!!! Tweet So first of all I wanna it’s a pleasur

Spotlight On:The New It Girl Jessica Burciaga

She has it all from the girl next door appeal, to extreme sex appeal. I first took notice of her when I saw the Jamie Foxx ft Drake "Fall For Your Type" video and to be honest I had to take a sceond glance because I really thought that she was JLO. It wasnt until recently when I actually found out who this stunning beauty is who looks like she could be Jennifer Lopez's little sister. Jessica Burciaga (born April 11, 1983) is an American model . Her father is Mexican and her mother is French and Irish . She was selected to be Playboy's February 2009 Playmate of the Month .   I think we are just starting to see the beginning of the beautiful Jessica, and that she has alot more in store......
