I love this car I think had something to do with the Italian part of my heritage but I have been wondering were there actually going to be full convertible versions of it before I decided to purchase one. It's considerably cheaper than a Cooper and just as stylish the convertible version of Fiat 500, confirmed to Just-Auto.com by the Styling Director of Fiat himself, Roberto Giolito, during the Automotive News Europe Congress. One year ago, we have already spoken about a topless version of the small Italian, as well as a bigger version of it, the Giardinera, a station wagon for Fiat to face the Mini Clubman.
Besides making the launch of the car almost official (we will have to wait for a press release in order to consider the 500 Cabrio more than a sure thing), Giolito also stated, according to Just-Auto.com, that the new version of the 500 will have a fabric top, instead of the foldable hard tops that are becoming increasingly popular. Although it was more than expected, due to the small dimensions of the car, but fabric tops are also said to have been considerably improved.
