(Q)We can start by you telling the readers where you are from, your age, and when you got started in the music industry?
(A)Party of Two are two R & B singers, E Swagg (20) & John Curtis (19), from Dothan, AL. Since a very young age we have always been very musically inclined. Growing up in church E Swagg was always singing and John Curtis played the drums until he finally came out with his vocal abilities as well. We've just recently started in the music industry full time this past year, but the future of our music career is looking bright for us, we are very excited and anxious to see what it holds for us.
(Q)What musical influences would you say are responsible for the sound you generate?
(A)Our musical influences include Musiq Soulchild, Tyrese, and Dru Hill. They are the type of artists we grew up listening to, they really influenced our style and sound; you'll probably be able to hear it in our work too.
(Q) As an artist what type of image do you want to represent to the public?
(A)We really want the public to see the personal side of us as well as the artist. Being able to interact with our fans, even taking it to the point of asking our fans what type of music and songs they would like to hear from us is important. We want them to see us as the "new school" of R&B so to speak, we plan on bringing a whole new but still "pure" R&B vibe for them.
(Q)In terms of artists,producers,etc...who all have you worked with to this point, and who do you want to work with?
(A)Thus far we have worked closely with in house artists Blok Beeze, Alexis Nicole and a few others for production. We would love to work with anyone who shares a love and real passion for music as we do. We grew up on R&B so we look forward to working with established artists & producers like Musiq Soulchild, Tyrese, Tank, Brian Michael Cox, Polow da Don, and the list goes on and on. We cant wait until we finally get that opportunity.
(Q)Current projects you have out name them and send links connecting the readers with your music
(A)We are currently working on "The Party Of Two" (our group name) mixtape, which we will be dropping in July, we are anxious to let everyone hear us we have a lot of hits to share.
(Q)With your personal style in terms of clothing describe it and where you usually go to get your clothes
(A)We dont really shop in any particular place we just like to look good. We dont discriminate, if it looks good we'll buy it and pull it off. If you're dope enough you can wear whatever u like and make it your own style.
(Q)What are the things in this world you can't live without?
(A)God, family, and of course music are things we cant live without. If we didnt have those things in our lives it wouldnt be the same or any where near as enjoyable. Music is our passion therefore our life.
(Q)What's your favorite places to hangout?
(A)Well we are sort of studio junkies! We love to work and get better at what we do, but if you catch us outside the studio we could be anywhere. We currently live in Atlanta so anywhere could be the "spot," we love this city because there is so much to do and never seems to be enough hours to do it.
