It is the second oldest surviving university in the world and the oldest in the English-speaking world. Although the exact date of its foundation remains unclear, there is evidence of teaching there as far back as the 11th century. The University grew rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris. In post-nominals, the University of Oxford was historically abbreviated as Oxon. (In Latin Oxoniensis), although Oxf is nowadays used in official university publications. Our first Lady Michelle Obama had the esteemed honor of speaking there today, and guess what she is wearing??? Alexander McQueen of course a Victorian Bustle Shirt and double-buckle western belt, I think it was very UK chic!
Not only is helping run the world (girls), taking part in tributes for Beyonce, but she is also giving motivational speeches at commencements to inspire the future of the world which shows her passion she possesses for education.
